Tucked inside Walthamstow’s historic Wood Street Indoor Market, books for what ails you was your cosy, neighbourhood bookshop.
Our shelves brimmed with thoughtfully-curated, gently-used secondhand books (and a selection of new books, too). We also sold vintage stationery and other papery ephemera, not to mention book-related objects like bookmarks and bookends. There was something to be found for all ages and interests – and gift ideas aplenty.
Of note, we stocked an eclectic range of autographed books, many by local authors.
We loved providing our fellow booklovers with regular doses of something to read. Indeed, no prescription was ever required.
